Federica Francesconi is Associate Professor of 历史 和 Director of the Judaic Studies Program at the University at Albany, 纽约州立大学. Her research 和 publications address the social, 宗教, 和 cultural aspects of the early modern history of Jews in Italy, focusing on the multifaceted politics 和 dynamics of ghetto life. She has held fellowships in Europe, Israel, 和 the United States. She served as Viterbi 访问ing Professor in Mediterranean Jewish Studies at the University of California, 洛杉矶, 和 has been a fellow at the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the Oxford Centre for Hebrew 和 Jewish Studies.
她的新书, Invisible Enlighteners: The Jewish Merchants of Modena, from the Renaissance to the Emancipation (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2021), is the 2022 Helen 和 Howard R. 马拉罗奖得主, granted by the American Historical Association 和 the 2021 National Jewish Books Awards Finalist for the JDC-Herbert Katzki Award for Writing Based on Archival Material.
